Ginga Densetsu Weed Gaiden (Silver Fang Legend Weed Side Stories) is a manga collection of different short stories, all of them about the bonds of friendship, love and courage. Each chapter focuses on a different dog during the time period that Weed was journeying toward Ōu.

- The first chapter Yumemiru Senshitachi is only in the first edition
- Weed Gaiden doesn't have anything to do with Ginga Densetsu Weed but it does contain a small story about Mel.
- Weed Gaiden was published in 2001 and published into a second edition in 2008.
- The second edition only contains one colour image, where the original printing contains several.
