Chako is a minor character of Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin: Shin Gaiden in the short story Benizakura Hen.

She is the mother of Benizakura and the pet dog of the Ishii family.

Her mate was a fighting dog and so was her father, but neither were very good ones and her puppies turned out to be smaller than Yoichi’s ones.
