Ginga
Ginga (ja. 銀牙, en. Silver Fang) is the common term for most of Yoshihiro Takahashi’s dog mangas. Today, it’s often described as Ginga Densetsu (ja. 銀牙伝説, en. Silver Fang Legend or Legend of Silver Fang). In 2014 Ginga celebrated 30 years!
In the Ginga series the dogs talk, unlike as in Shiroi Senshi Yamato. There are repeated themes of justice, sacrifice and courage. The series typically involves a lot of battles and violence as well.
The series mainly consists of dogs known as the Ōu soldiers, and the main character is usually a member of the bearhound family.
