Robert is very calm and serious dog. He is completely devoted to his mission and shows no fear. He seems to have been close to Rocca.

Anime
Robert was one of Jerome’s comrades among the Professional Killers. He attacked the monster Kaibutsu with courage although he failed at really damaging the monster, yet he completed his mission and died with honor. His mission was to die for his comrades at any cost. Kaibutsu grabbed his head and attempted to crush it. When Kaibutsu released him, Weed, Kagetora and Ken took him, he coughed up a mouthful of blood then told them:
“We’re living up to what we’re expected to do. I’ve hit my mark… I trust the rest to… you…” before dying of his head wound.
